Monthly Letter - October 2008

31 October 08
Greetings Everyone,
We just returned from a very inspiring, uplifting, and spiritual feast. Without sounding trite, or redundant, many said this was “their best feast ever.” Personally, it was our 38th feast and they just seem to get better and better year after year. I do hope that those of you who did not have the opportunity to attend God’s Feast of Tabernacles this year will make every effort to attend next year. It is a commanded assembly and you cannot truly obey God without observing His Holy Days.
The Last Great Day concludes the seventh Holy Day in God’s plan. The Holy Days are but a shadow of greater things to come. (Col. 2: 16-17). Until the actual fulfillment of each of these days, God commands us to observe them. Read Leviticus 23 in its entirety. These days are definitely commanded assemblies and considered to be among God’s Sabbath (s). (Ex. 31:13).
God’s Holy Day season will begin once again next April 8th with the Passover. In the meantime, what should we as members of God’s Church be doing? Should we be relaxing and taking our ease? Absolutely not! Christ said, “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” (Mat. 24: 42-46).
My friends, we really don’t have time to waste. World conditions are escalating. The seven hundred billion dollar bailout is not going to save us. It is merely a band aid on a dike that cannot be repaired. America is not alone in their plight. Other nations are experiencing similar economic conditions. How much longer can we continue the practice of overspending, borrowing and charging for goods we cannot afford without a price being paid? No nation practicing these principles have succeeded. And, we won’t either!
God has commanded His ministry to “cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” (Isaiah 58: 1). Though we call ourselves a “Christian” nation, we have strayed from obedience to God and are only paying Him lip service. (Mat. 15:8). God will not tolerate this forever! Read Ezekiel 33:1-7.
My friends, God holds us directly responsible for warning this nation of its sins and the impending disaster ahead. Jesus Christ approached his work with a passion. Notice what He said in John 4:34-35, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” The time is NOW to do God’s Work. We expect to do just that! Will you be a part of this end time WORK?
I want to share with you a few things we are presently working on. Many of you will be receiving Lesson 32 of the Mini-Correspondence Course. For the time being, Lesson 32 will be the last lesson of this series. However, we will begin a new series titled “Traditional Christian Doctrines.” Those of you who receive Lesson 32 will receive a card that you may return if you wish to enroll in this series of Lessons. We will go into detail, explaining from the Bible, why we reject certain Traditional Christian Beliefs. Simply click the button below to order it.
Secondly, we have been concerned for some time that we do not have information parents can use to teach their children about God. Beginning next month, we will make available a series of CD’s entitled “The Story of the Bible”. You will receive one CD each month until the story ends. Mr. John Shelton will be narrating the Bible, in story form. It is very educational and will be suitable for children ages 3 to 103. Parents will be able to explain many questions asked by children they could not heretofore explain, along with scriptural proof. To enroll in this program, simply click the button below. This program is NOT just for children. “The Story of the Bible” will bring the Bible to life. You will see scripture as never before. Enroll today!
The sermons at the Feast this year were very powerful and educational. If you would like to receive a copy of ALL the feast sermons please click the button below. The sermons will come as CD’s.
Each month I am excited to report that more and more people are requesting DVD’s, CD’s printed articles, and enrolling in the Correspondence Course. Additionally, thousands are reading and downloading the eye-opening articles posted on the website. We have reached over sixty (60) different countries with the gospel message. One of those countries is Canada. We are pleased to announce a contact for our Canadian brothers and sisters. Mr. Ed Porter. His telephone number is 1-705-382-2956. Please contact Mr. Porter for further information.
We are able to do this WORK because of your generous tithes and offerings. This Holy Day season brought the greatest amount to date. Thank you all. I want to mention that many of you contributed cash but did not give your name. Please list your name on the envelope when you contribute cash so we can give you credit for it. There is so much more to share with you. Be looking for more information in the upcoming Church Newsletter.
