Quarterly Letter - May 2017

May 2017
Greetings Everyone,
Do you believe in prophecy? Unfortunately, many people today do not believe anything the Bible says. In fact, many do not even believe the Bible is the word of God. Hosea was inspired to write, “My people ae destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee…” (Hos. 4:6). How about you, will you believe what the Bible says? All you have to do is read the Bible and look around you. It’s right there before your very eyes. But, will you believe? The Bible actually says, most who hear the end time warning will not heed. But we are told to tell them anyway. (Isaiah 6:9; 58:1)
God said we should exact justice speedily and righteously, but our justice system has become so bogged down with appeals and loopholes that it takes years to properly prosecute some offenses. God said the punishment for murder is death, however we can’t even decide how to administer the death penalty because we are afraid we may cause pain or draw out the execution too long. Isaiah said, “None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.” (Isaiah 59:4). Have you been watching what is happening to the President in the courts as he tries to implement the law of the land? Our courts are full of liberal judges who do not enforce the rule of law.
Read Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:18-32. We, as a nation, have now recognized the LGBT “community” and it is having its influence as manifested by the reversal of the North Carolina law on bathrooms. And, the many court decisions forcing people to adhere to the marrying of gays and lesbians. God said this would be one of the “end time” warning signs in Matthew 24:38. “Marrying and giving in marriage” is directly associated with this warning. Research it.
In the Olivet prophecy in Mat. 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 Christ said that one of the signs to watch prior to the end of the world (age) was the hearing of wars and rumors of war (Mat. 24:6). If you are watching the news, you know that North Korea is gearing up for a potential nuclear attack on the United States and its allies. Iran is taunting our ships in Middle East waters trying to provoke an attack. Isis is still killing and destroying throughout the Middle East and wreaking havoc around the world. Do you think the United Nations will bring peace?
Likewise, Christ said “as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Mat. 24:37). Read Genesis 6:5-7. Do you see any comparison between Noah’s day and ours? Chicago is a good example. People are being murdered almost every single day. Other cities are just as bad. People are protesting anything and everything that they do not agree with, and they are accompanying those protests with violence and hatred.
The apostle Paul was given inspirational insight into our day. Read it in your own Bible and compare Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 with our society today. Can you see it? Will you admit it?
Notice Paul said in verse 5, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” Christ’s first warning sign in Matthew 24, verses four and five, was to “take heed that no man deceive you for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” The television is filled with televangelists proclaiming “Christ” but denying the very message he preached — the gospel of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:14-15). Paul said we should beware of any who come “preaching another Jesus” (2 Corinthians 11:4). John wrote that “the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan which deceiveth the whole world” (Rev. 12:9). My friends, do you know and believe the “gospel” Christ preached? Have you been deceived by the dragon?
The truth is, we, as a nation, have rejected God, His law, and His message. We have gone our own way deciding for ourselves what is right and wrong, ignoring God in our decisions. I have not scratched the surface of the warning signs found in your Bible of conditions that would be extant just prior to Christ’s return to this earth. Time and space does not permit it here. But, the Church of God New World Ministries has thousands of articles, DVD’s, CD’s ,Study Lessons proclaiming the true gospel Christ taught. All these materials are gratis. God will not continue to sit by and ignore our rebellion forever. He will act soon, but he will not act without giving us a warning first (Amos 3:7). You have had that warning! What should you do? Ezekiel wrote that those who will listen and adhere to Christ’s final warning should “turn from his way and live, turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways: for why will ye die, O house of Israel” (Ez. 33:11). We are told to repent! Repent means to turn and go in an opposite direction. We realize most will not! But nonetheless, we have done as God requires. Remember God’s response in the days of Noah. Though He will not destroy the earth with water, He will nevertheless bring tribulation upon us to bring us to repentance. Read Ezekiel the fifth chapter. Where will you be when it comes?
