Greetings Everyone,
Since the passing of Mr. Trent there has been a lot going on in the Church. First of all it has been necessary to move the Church office, with all the equipment, files and furniture to a new location, which has turned out to be an inconceivable adventure. Not to mention the formidable task of refurbishing the web page, all the printed material, and all the CDs with the new address. (Which is at the heading of this letter)
On behalf of the Church it is my desire to express my thanks for all your patience, prayers, and continued resources through this inconvenient transition.
Not only has there been a lot going on in the church but there has been a lot going on in our nation and the world as well. It’s been a year, more or less, since the covid 19 virus was unleashed upon the world---whether it was man made or something which evolved from nature the truth will probably never be known. Its infection rates slowed down for a while but are now beginning to resurge and soar to new heights. And besides the covid 19 virus, we here in the US have also had to contend with all the political upheaval to wear us down.
There was a time when a political office of true leadership was an honorable office but no more. Our civil leaders have come to the point of Ezekiel’s prophecy in 22:27. They have become like ravening wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls and to get dishonest gain. We are without a doubt living in precarious times.
Many wonder, however, against the back-drop of biblical prophecy and the Lord’s promise to protect his chosen people why that some within our own ranks have fallen prey to this ravenous disease and of course we all are in for a new experience when the next administration comes to power and many of our constitutional liberties appear that they will be lost.
King David tells us in Psalms 103 that it is the Lord who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases. -- It is the Lord who redeems our life from destruction and crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. So how does he accomplish this?
Has He forgotten His promises to the righteous as he deals with the unrighteous as End Time Prophecy begins to unfold? To borrow an expression from the Apostle Paul, “God Forbid”. -- There is a story in the Old Testament which God has preserved for us to help us better understand all this.
It is told in Genesis Chapters 37-46 -- It is the story of Joseph and how he was sold into Egypt by his brothers. He had a dismal looking future to begin with, but eventually rose to the highest position in Egypt second only to the Pharaoh himself. We know he was given prophecy about the future through the dreams of the Pharaoh about bad times to come.
By this understanding he made preparations in the good times for those bad times. And the famine that came was not only in Egypt but throughout the whole land. It was throughout Arabia and the land of Canaan as well. But through it all The Lord made a way for his people to escape. And not only did they escape but grew into a large nation as well.
God has given us prophecy also of the perilous times to come. Are we making ready in the good times for the bad as Joseph did? Not only in physical resources but mentally and spiritually as well. Because if we do, if we make ourselves ready, then God will shine through and make a way for us to escape the devastation to come.
He promises us in 1st Cor. 10:13 He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to bear. And through all our temptations He will provide a way out. And through all our temptations He will never abandon us. Be reassured for God ALWAYS keeps His promises!
Again I thank you for your continued patience. Hopefully in the next few weeks we can get resettled and return to some kind of normalcy in the operation of the Church.
May God bless you all,
